In ARKIPEL 2015 - Grand Illusion, Festival Stories

Hari ini, Selasa, 25 Agustus 2015, saat ini, di ruang rapat pleno Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki, ARKIPEL Grand Illusion – 3rd Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival sedang menghelatkan pertemuan para juri, dalam rangka memutuskan empat filem terbaik yang akan menerima empat penghargaan festival, yakni ARKIPEL Award, Jury Award, Peransi Award, dan Forum Lenteng Award. Empat filem terbaik tersebut akan diumumkan pada acara Malam Penghargaan ARKIPEL Grand Illusion di Goethe-Institut Indonesien, Jakarta, 29 Agustus, 2015, pukul 19.00.

Pertemuan itu sendiri, saat ini, dihadiri oleh kelima juri ARKIPEL Grand Illusion, yakni Hafiz Rancajale, Ronny Agustinus, Jon Jost, David Teh, dan May Adadol Ingawanij. Rapat itu juga didampini oleh Yuki Aditya, selaku Direktur Festival ARKIPEL. Kita berharap, empat filem yang dinobatkan sebagai yang terbaik di ARKIPEL tahun ini, layak mewakili gagasan Grand Illusion sekaligus menjadi tolak ukur bagi pencapaian ide-ide baru, khususnya estetika filem, dalam wacana filem nasional maupun global.

Today, Tuesday, 25 August 2015, at this time, in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Jakarta Arts Council, Taman Ismail Marzuki, ARKIPEL Grand Illusion – 3rd Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival held a jury meeting, in order to determine the four best films that will receive four festival awards, namely ARKIPEL Award, Jury Award, Peransi  Award and Forum Lenteng Award. The four best films will be announced at the ARKIPEL Grand Illusion Awarding Night at the Goethe-Institut Indonesien, Jakarta, 29 August 2015, 19.00.

The meeting itself, this time, was attended by the five judges ARKIPEL Grand Illusion, namely Hafiz Rancajale, Ronny Augustinus, Jon Jost, David Teh and May Adadol Ingawanij. The meeting was also attended by Yuki Aditya, as Director of the Festival ARKIPEL. We hope that, four films that will be awarded as the best in ARKIPEL this year, deserve to represent the idea of ​​Grand Illusion, also as a benchmark for the achievement of new ideas, especially the aesthetics of film, in national and global cinema discourse.
