Asier adalah semacam mitos yang menggerakkan narasumber filem ini untuk bercerita tentang dirinya sendiri: seorang pemuda yang menerka ulang sejarah penolakan Basque untuk menjadi bagian dari wilayah Spanyol. Filem ini terasa dekat karena tendensinya untuk menampilkan keragaman etnis sebagai satu sumber perpecahan, tapi pada saat yang sama ia juga menghargai keragaman itu.

Asier is a sort of myth that drives the main protagonist of the film to tell about himself: a young man who recites the history of Basqua’s refusal to become part of Spanish territory. This film feels so intimate for its tendency to demonstrate ethnic diversity as a source of fragmentation, but at the same time in respecting that diversity.

Aitor Merino
(San Sebastián, 1972), seorang aktor selama lebih dari 20 tahun, juga membintangi sejumlah teater dan berpartisipasi di sejumlah program drama seri televisi. Sebagai pembuat filem, karyanya El pan nuestro dinominasikan sebagai “Best Fiction Short Film” pada Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Science of Spain (Goya Awards 2008).

Amaia Merino
(San Sebastián, 1970) menempuh pendidikan di Cristina Rota Acting School (1989-1993) dan León Sierra Actors ’ Studio (2009-2012). Bekerja sebagai editor filem sejak 1993, pengajar di Instituto Tecnológico de Cine y Actuación INCINE, Quito. Mendapat penghargaan dari Consejo Nacional de Cinematografía del Ecuador untuk Asier ETA Biok.

Aitor Merino
(San Sebastián, 1972), is an actor for more than 20 years, he also starred in a number of theatre and drama programs. He participates in a number of television series. As a filmmaker, his work El pan nuestro was nominated for “Best Fiction Short Film” at the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Science of Spain (Goya Awards 2008).

Amaia Merino
(San Sebastián, 1970) studied at Cristina Rota Acting School (1989-1993) and Leon Sierra Actors’ Studio (2009-2012). She has been worked as a film editor since 1993, teaching at the Instituto Tecnológico de Cine y Actuación INCINE, Quito. Received an award from the Consejo Nacional de Cinematografía del Ecuador for the Asier ETA Biok.
