A grandfather has become a tiles merchant for decades. Someone close to him makes the motifs of his tiles, the grandfather’s stories, and images moving to form a nice tale about their village. Brilliantly, the filmmaker assumes the past as still images, the recent past as black and white moving images, and the present as color movie: as if the history is a film history and things that he talks about become elements of his mise en scène.
