Ia adalah cerminan dari Raden Mas Tirto Adhi Soerjo, seorang tokoh pergerakan pada masa kolonial Hindia Belanda yang mendirikan organisasi Sarekat Prijaji. Dia juga seorang pelopor jurnalistik Indonesia, yang menerbitkan koran berbahasa Melayu pertama, Medan Prijaji. Kronikel perjalanan pemikiran Minke dan perjuangannya tersebut terjabarkan dalam dalam roman sejarah Tetralogi Buru. Empat buku ini adalah karya sastra yang ditulis oleh Pramoedya Ananta Toer dalam masa penahanan politiknya di Pulau Buru. Sebuah mahakarya yang menggambarkan detail-detail kolonialisme dalam bentuk pemikiran-pemikiran dan pertemuan-pertemuan orang-orang.<\/p>\n

Ketiga filem yang ada di dalam program ini adalah bagian dari Proyek Minke, sebuah proyek membaca Tetralogi Buru dan menjadikannya sebagai inspirasi dalam memproduksi filem. Ketiga karya tersebut adalah: Pipit dalam Badai, karya Van Luber Parensen; Peta Gula, karya Ali Satri Effendi; dan Kulihat Kau Lihat Dia, karya Helmi Yusron, adalah tiga filem yang diproduksi dalam periode akhir pembelajaran kelas MILISIFILEM angkatan ke 6 (angkatan Edelweiss).<\/p>\n

MILISIFILEM merupakan platform yang dibentuk Forum Lenteng pada September 2017 yang secara khusus mendalami praktik-praktik produksi visual, baik secara teknis maupun konteks yang terkait dengan persoalan sosial budaya terkini. Secara reguler, MILISIFILEM menyelenggarakan pelatihan tentang dasar-dasar visual secara lintas disiplin, menggunakan pendekatan yang partisipatoris dan kolaboratif. Para partisipan menjelajahi berbagai kemungkinan eksperimentasi visual, serta membangun kedisiplinan kolektif dalam memproduksi karya-karya visual. MILISIFILEM secara khusus melibatkan partisipan untuk mendalami aktivisme seni dan budaya dalam rangka menghadapi tantangan perubahan zaman.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Forewords” tab_id=”1695524701968-544f6ee4-7b25″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1695887147075{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]This is about Minke, a Javanese minor nobleman who lived during the Dutch East Indies colonialism. He is a reflection of Raden Mas Tirto Adhi Soerjo, a movement figure during the Dutch East Indies colonial period who founded the <\/span>Sarekat Prijaji<\/span><\/i> organization. He was also a pioneer of Indonesian journalism, publishing the first Malay-language newspaper, Medan Prijaji. The chronicle of Minke’s journey of thought and struggle is described in the historical romance Buru Quartet. These four books are literary works written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer during his political incarceration on Buru Island. A masterpiece that describes the details of colonialism in the form of thoughts and encounters of people.<\/span><\/p>\n

The three films in this program are part of the Minke Project, a project to read the <\/span>Buru<\/span><\/i> Quartet<\/span><\/i> and use it as inspiration to produce films. The three works are: <\/span>Pipit dalam Badai<\/span><\/i>, by Van Luber Parensen; <\/span>Peta Gula<\/span><\/i>, by Ali Satri Effendi; and <\/span>Kulihat Kau Lihat Dia<\/span><\/i>, by Helmi Yusron, are the three films produced in the final period of study of the 6th batch of MILISIFILEM class (Edelweiss batch).<\/span><\/p>\n

MILISIFILEM is a platform established by Forum Lenteng in September 2017 that specifically explores visual production practices, both technically and in contexts related to current socio-cultural issues. Regularly, MILISIFILEM organizes training on visual fundamentals in an interdisciplinary manner, using a participatory and collaborative approach. Participants explore the possibilities of visual experimentation and build collective discipline in producing visual works. Sistem ini mengubah wajah pertanian dan membentuk peta gula di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan dokumenter observasional, filem ini menunjukkan lanskap peta gula di sebuah desa di kawasan Krembung, menyusuri setapak demi setapak perkebunan tebu yang menghimpit sawah-sawah petani. Sebuah penelusuran tentang siklus yang berulang, diselingi rekaman arsip lampau tentang tebu, gula, dan pergerakan-pergerakan.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1695887319037{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]The Glebagan system was born to require farmers to rotate crops and convert some of their land from daily staple crops to industrial raw materials. This system changed the face of agriculture and shaped the sugar map in various regions in Indonesia. Using an observational documentary approach, the film shows the landscape of the sugar map in a village in the Krembung region, tracing step by step the sugarcane plantations that choke farmers’ rice fields.
