Tanggal 28 Juni 1914 di Sarajevo, Archduke<\/i> Franz Ferdinand, pewaris tahta kerajaan Austria-Hongaria, dibunuh. Pembunuhan ini menyiram minyak pada dendam kesumat lama monarki-monarki Eropa. Kekaisaran Austria-Hongaria mendeklarasikan perang terhadap Serbia dan sekaligus mengaktifkan kembali persekutuan negara-negara. Pada Agustus 1914, Pasukan Jerman mulai mendekati Paris.<\/p>\nEpisode 2: Fear (Agustus 1914 \u2013 Agustus 1915)<\/b><\/h3>\n
Serbuan Rusia ke wilayah Prusia menyebabkan eksodus besar-besaran warga sipil yang ingin menghindari zona perang ke arah Barat. Sementara itu, Pasukan Jerman berhasil dihentikan oleh Prancis di Pertempuran Marne. Peperangan di parit-parit terbit, sedangkan agak jauh di Selatan, Italia dan Turki terlibat pula dalam konflik. Episode 1: Fury (Before WWI \u2013 August 1914)<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n On June 28th, 1914, the assassination of an obscure Austrian archduke in Sarajevo triggers the most disastrous conflict the world has ever known. Germany becomes an enemy to France, invades Belgium, and in September arrives at the gates of Paris.<\/span><\/p>\nEpisode 2: Fear (August 1914 \u2013 August 1915)<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n The French army stops the German advance at the battle of the Marne, while the Germans halt the Russians at Tannenberg on the eastern front. In France, the warring parties dig themselves in for 4 years in the trenches.
