ARKIPEL Award<\/strong> diberikan kepada filem terbaik secara umum, yang dalam penilaian dewan juri mengandung pencapaian artistik disertai kekuatan potensialnya untuk memaknai pilihan perspektif kontekstualnya, yang menantang suatu diskursus bagi cara pandang yang sanggup menggerakkan keterlibatan emosional dan nalar kita akan kondisi tertentu, yang diungkapkan melalui sebuah filem. Filem yang mendapat penghargaan ini dipandang dapat mewakili pernyataan ARKIPEL akan nilai-nilai yang ditawarkan oleh dunia artistik terhadap gambaran dunia yang disatu sisi telah sama-sama disepakati, namun di sisi lain, menuntut untuk saling didefinisikan dan didefinisikan kembali.<\/p>\n

Filem Asier ETA Biok, <\/em>karya Amaia Merino & Aitor Merino (Spanyol\/Ekuador) menggagas isu persoalan yang besar \u2014meskiun tidak baru\u2014 dengan cakupan yang lebih luas dari sekadar konflik wilayah, namun dapat keluar dari kungkungan kompleksitas masalah itu sendiri. Filem ini melihat kemungkinan-kemungkinan di masa yang datang dan masa lalu. Filem ini menerapkan suatu disiplin dan ketelitian yang tinggi dalam proses penyuntingan, mengingat kompleksitas latar persoalannya yang mengangkat isu dari dua wilayah dalam waktu yang cukup panjang dan berasal dari dokumentasi-dokumentasi personal. Selain lebih menantang dibandingkan 28 karya lainnya, implementasi isu yang dilakukan filem ini tersebut ke dalam form<\/em>, dengan memanfaatkan arsip, muncul dalam gaya bahasa yang cerewet sebagai pilihan estetikanya sehingga dapat memberikan gambaran paling riil akan hal \u201cmemilih\u201d, sehubungan dengan pilihan-pilihan yang sifatnya baik pribadi maupun politis, yang berkembang dan melekat di kehidupan orang-orang.<\/p>\n

Jury Award<\/strong> diberikan kepada filem terbaik versi pilihan dewan juri, dengan mempertimbangkan kesegaran serta keunikan bahasa ungkap yang dalam tingkatan tertenty mencapai kematangan personal dalam menyingkapkan dan mengkomunikasikan pengalaman estetis, pergulatan terhadap konten, serta penjelajahan subjektif akan teks\/konteks dari dua aspek tersebut ke dalam realitas terkininya.<\/p>\n

Filem Genre Sub Genre<\/em>, karya Yosep Anggi Noen (Indonesia), bermain-main dalam konteks sinema sehingga memancing kita untuk melihat sesuatu yang jauh lebih serius. Pengemasannya dilakukan dengan baik, meneliti dan mendedah sebuah isu secara tidak langsung. Di satu sisi, filem ini merefleksikan persoalan-persoalan yang terikat pada karya tersebut, tetapi secara bersamaan dapat keluar dari konteks yang sempit karena kepiawaiannya dalam bermain secara visual: berani memfiksikan arsip dengan cara yang tidak umum atau tidak biasa, sebagaimana yang dikenal oleh masyarakat. Selain itu, cara dan gaya eksperimentasi semacam ini menjadi penting dan perlu lebih sering didukung untuk memperkaya bahasa sinema Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Peransi Award<\/strong> dipersembahkan untuk karya sinematik yang dinilai memiliki fokus pendekatan sosial yang istimewa, dan secara khusus, kategori ini menitikberatkan perhatian kepada sutradara filem dengan usia yang relatif muda. Penghargaa ini terilham dari nama David Albert Peransi, seniman, kritikus, dan tokoh dalam dunia filem dokumenter dan eksperimental di Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Filem Av\u014d Corti\u00e7o (Grandfather Corti\u00e7o)<\/em>, karya Ricardo Batalheiro (Portugal), membuka peluang bagi penonton untuk menempati posisi yang berbeda untuk melihat opini yang berbeda dari peran protagonis. Secara tepat, filem ini memiliki hubungan kontekstual dengan persoalan kontemporer, dan ia tidak hanya memberikan estetika yang baru, tetapi juga berbicara tentang bagaimana penggunaan montase itu dapat menciptakan sesuatu yang indah. Metode produksi filem ini pun mengingatkan kita pada kerja-kerja pelaku media dan filem yang berada di luar pengaruh gaya produksi mainstream<\/em>, dan secara bersaman menegaskan bahwa praktik dokumenter oleh orang biasa juga memiliki nilai penting\/signifikansi yang sama. Karya ini juga mengajarkan kita akan kesadaran dan kepekaan sutradara (pengkarya) terhadap hal-hal yang simple<\/em> dan dekat, seperti tentang keramik (dan keterkaitannya dengan sebuah lokasi), dan bagaimana kepekaan itu menjadi aspek utama yang meningkatkan kemampuan si pengarang untuk membingkai isu tersebut menjadi karya eksperimental. Selain menegaskan kembali signifikansi teknologi video dalam dinamika masyarakat, filem ini hadir sebagai sebuah karya yang begitu intim dengan persoalannya.<\/p>\n

Forum Lenteng Award<\/strong> merupakan kategori penghargaan di luar Kompetisi Internasional. Penghargaan ini diberikan kepada filem yang dianggap paling menarik dalam sejumlah atau salah satu seginya setelah diusulkan oleh pengurus dan anggota Forum Lenteng untuk diputuskan melalui pemungutan suara. dalam Kompetisi Internasional, tetapi juga dari seluruh filem yang ditayangkan dalam beberapa program kuratorial selama festival. Tahun ini Forum Lenteng Award diberikan kepada Gundah Gundala<\/em> yang disutradarai oleh Wimar Herdanto dari Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The ARKIPEL Award\u00a0<\/strong>is to be given to the best film in general, which in the judgment of the board of jury contain artistic achievement and a potential power to define its choice of contextual perspective, which challenges a discourse for perspective that enables to encourage our emotional and rational participations toward certain conditions.\u00a0<\/strong>For that, the best film may represent the statement of ARKIPEL on values offered by the artistic world to a world\u2019s portrayal which, on one hand has been together established, but on the other hand demands to be always defined and redefined.<\/span><\/p>\n

Amaia Merino & Aitor Merino\u2019s Asier ETA Biok<\/em>, from Spain\/Ecuador, raised a great issue, though it\u2019s not a new one, that is nationalism and the will to be independent by wider scope than an only conflict of region. This film is heed to possibilities for the future and the past through the way it brings the issue to personal story. It implements a sort of discipline and thoroughness in the editing process, given the complexity of the background of core questions raised by the issue of those two regions in a long time and is derived from personal documentations. Besides being more challenging than the 28 other works, the way of this film forming the issue into ‘cinematic form’, by using archives, brings out a style that impressing a fastidious fussiness as its choice for aesthetic so that it could become the most obvious depiction regarding “matter of choosing”, in relation to choices which are both personal as well as political, grown and embedded in people’s lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Jury Award<\/strong> is to be given to the best film based on the board of jury\u2019s choice by considering the freshness and uniqueness of language expression that in certain level succeeds in achieving personal maturity in revealing and communicating an aesthetics experience, a struggle about content and a subjective exploration on text\/context from both these aspects into their current reality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yosep Anggi Noen\u2019s Genre Sub Genre<\/em>, from Indonesia, plays around in the context of cinema to provoke us to notice something much more serious. His packaging is well done to explore and expose an issue indirectly. On the one hand, the film reflects the issues tied to the work, but at the same time it can get out of the narrow context for his skill in playing the footages visually: it’s so courageous to fictionalize the archives in an unusual way that is publicly known. In addition, the manner and style of this kind of experimentation is important and needs to be backed up more often to enrich the language of Indonesian cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n

The D.A. Peransi Award<\/strong> is dedicated to a cinematic work deemed as having the focus of a special social approach; this category particularly emphasizes highlight to a relatively young film directors. The award for the best film in this category is inspired by David Albert Peransi (1939-1993), an artist, critic and prominent figure in the world of documentary and experimental film in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n
