Tepat pukul 19.30 WIB, Program Peradaban Sinema Dalam Pameran<\/em> bertajuk \u201cJajahan Gambar Bergerak : Antara Fakta dan Fiksi\u201d resmi dibuka. Salah satu program andalan dari rangkaian acara ARKIPEL Grand Illusion <\/em>\u2013 3rd Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival ini dikuratori oleh Mahardika Yudha, Koordinator Divisi Penelitian dan Pengembangan Forum Lenteng. Pameran ini akan berlangsung dari 19-29 Agustus 2015, bertempat di Galeri Cipta III Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, mulai pukul 16.00-21.00 WIB dan terbuka untuk umum.<\/p>\n “Jadi, konsep yang saya ambil \u00a0adalah bagaimana menyajikan arsip-arsip perfileman Indonesia,\u201d jelas pria yang akrab dipanggil Diki itu. \u201cMulai dari tahun 1896, saat pertama kali filem masuk, hingga produksi pertama filem di tahun 1905-1910, disaat produksi filem pertama di Hindia Belanda.”<\/p>\n Tempat pameran ini terdiri dari dua lantai. Di lantai pertama, kita akan disuguhkan beberapa poster filem, arsip koran, dan layar-layar yang menampilkan foto-foto, menggambarkan periode budaya menonton filem pertama di Indonesia. Sedangkan di lantai kedua, adalah awal periode produksi filem di Hindia Belanda. Uniknya, di lantai dua ini, penempatan layar memungkinkan pengunjung pameran untuk melihat gambar bergerak dari dua sisi, seperti layar tancap.<\/p>\n “Itu menggambarkan realitas menonton saat itu, di mana orang Belanda menontonnya dari depan, sementara pribumi dari belakang. Jadi, menontonnya terbalik, gitu<\/em>…” ujar Diki yang juga Direktur OK. Video \u2013 Indonesia Media Art Festival tersebut.<\/p>\n ARKIPEL \u2013 Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival sendiri, tahun ini, merupakan perhelatan yang ketiga kalinya dari Forum Lenteng. Menurut Yuki Aditya, Direktur Festival ARKIPEL, tahun ini terasa lebih istimewa. Banyak hal yang bertambah, baik dari jumlah negara yang berpatisipasi, jumlah filem yang didaftarkan untuk kompetisi Internasional, jumlah institusi yang turut bekerja sama, maupun jumlah tamu dari festival rekanan yang diundang.<\/p>\n “Tahun ini, kita juga mengadakan program untuk publik yang lebih banyak, agar masyarakat pecinta filem, khususnya dokumenter dan ekperimental, lebih aware<\/em> akan keberadaan jenis filem ini,” kata lelaki yang sudah menjabat sebagai Direktur Festival ARKIPEL sejak perhelatannya yang pertama.<\/p>\n Beberapa program yang diperuntukkan untuk publik, antara lain Master Class bersama Jon Jost, yang oleh festival ini dianggap sebagai “one of the most influential American independent filmmaker”, dan akan digelar di @America Pacific Place, tanggal 26 Agustus 2015, pukul 14.00 WIB. Pun tak akan kalah menariknya dengan Kuliah Umum Benjamin Cook, Direktur Lux Moving Image, sebuah agensi seni besar kelas dunia yang berbasis di London, dan akan diselenggarakan di Auditorium IKJ, tanggal 25 Agustus 2015, pukul 14.00 WIB.<\/p>\n “Nah, kita juga mengadakan yang namanya Forum Festival. Kita mengundang filmmaker<\/em> dan komunitas-komunitas filem Indonesia, bahkan dunia. Partisipan forum ini akan bertukar pengalaman dan pengetahun tentang wacana dan strategi mengorganisasi festival filem,” lanjut Yuki dengan semangat. Forum Festival ini akan diadakan di Auditorium IKJ, tanggal 28 Agustus 2015, pukul 14.00 WIB.<\/p>\n Seperti yang dikatakan oleh Irawan Karseno, Ketua Dewan Kesenian Jakarta dalam pidato pembukaan pameran ini, bahwa beliau selalu mendukung semangat anak muda yang berkreasi sekaligus merawat kebudayaan. Maka, tidak ada salahnya jika kita datang, berdiskusi, menonton dan bergembira di pesta film dokumenter dan eksperimental terbesar di Asia Tenggara ini.<\/p>\n Selamat Menikmati.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n On 19.30, Cinema Culture in Exhibition <\/em>program entitled \u201cMoving Image Colony: Between Fact and Fiction\u201d was officially opened. One of the top programs from ARKIPEL Grand Illusion – 3rd Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival, this exhibition is curated by Mahardika Yudha, the Coordinator of Forum Lenteng\u2019s Research & Development Division. This exhibition took place in Galeri Cipta III, Taman Ismail Marzuki, from 19-29 August 2015, opens daily at 16.00 \u2013 21.00 for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSo the concept that I chose is way to distribute archives about cinema in Indonesia,\u201d said the man whose nickname is Diki. \u201cStarting from 1896, when the first film came, up to 1905-1910 when the first film ever produced in Dutch East Indies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n This gallery has two floors. On the first one, we were showed some of film posters, newspaper archives, and screens displaying pictures, illustrated the early period of cinema culture in Indonesia. While on the second floor, here are presented the early period of film production in Dutch East Indies. One of the interesting things is the screen placement, which made it possible for viewers to see the moving images from both side, like usual open air cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt depicted the reality of watching position in that time, where the Dutch were watching from the front, while the natives were watching from the back. So, there it is, they watched in reverse\u2026\u201d explained Diki, who\u2019s also the Director of OK. Video – Indonesia Media Art Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s the third year of ARKIPEL \u2013 Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival, conducted by Forum Lenteng. For Yuki Aditya, the Festival Director of ARKIPEL, this time has become more special. More addition coming, right from number of participating countries, number of films selected for the international competition, number of participating institutions to cooperate, as well as the number of guests of the festival partners who are invited.<\/span><\/p>\n “This year, we also held more public programs, so every film lovers, especially documentary and experimental, will be more aware of the presence of these kinds of film,” said the man who has served as Director of the Festival ARKIPEL since its first event.<\/span><\/p>\n Some of the public programs are Master Class with Jon Jost, who by this festival is regarded as “one of the most influential American independent filmmaker,” and will be held at Pacific Place @ America, dated August 26, 2015, at 14.00 pm. Another exciting program is Public Lecture with Benjamin Cook, Director of Lux Moving Image, a major world class art agency based in London, and will be held in Auditorium IKJ, dated August 25, 2015, at 14.00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n “We will also held the Forum Festival, where we invite filmmakers and film communities, not just from Indonesia, but from all over the world. The forum participants will exchange experiences and knowledge about the discourse and strategies to organize film festival,” said Yuki enthusiastically. Festival Forum will be held in Auditorium IKJ, dated August 28, 2015, at 14.00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n As said by Irawan Karseno, Chairman of the Jakarta Arts Council in his opening speech for this exhibition, that he always supports the creative spirit of young people who also work to foster the culture.
