Pada hari pembukaan forum, Noack akan menyampaikan makalahnya, berjudul Once again \u2013 Agency in Cinema<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTak cukup hanya membuat filem-filem yang baik. Tak cukup hanya menulis tentang filem-filem yang baik. Tak cukup hanya memediasi filem-filem yang baik. \u201cIt is not enough to make good films. It is not enough to write about good films. It is not enough to mediate good films. Since the inception of the idea that there might be: a radical artistic practice, a critical reflexion of moving images and an emancipated spectatorship, people have formulated more than once – and forgotten more than once – how to achieve agency in these activities. Belajar sebagai seniman dan sejarawan seni, Ruth Noack telah bekerja sebagai penulis, kritikus seni, pengajar, dan penyelenggara pameran sejak 1990-an. Tahun 2007, bersama M. Buergel, dia menjadi kurator Documenta 12 di Kassel, Jerman. Ruth Noack<\/strong> (Heidelberg, 1964) is a prominent curator.Trained as a visual artist and art historian, Ruth Noack has been working as a author, art critic, lecturer, and exhibition maker since 1990s. In 2007, along with Roger M. Buergel, she co-curated Documenta 12 in Kassel, Germany. Some of exhibitions she curated are Scenes of a Theory<\/em> (1995), Things We Don<\/em>\u2019<\/em>t Understand<\/em> (2000), The Government<\/em> (2005), Not Dressed for Conquering <\/em>\u2013<\/em> I<\/em>nes <\/em>D<\/em>oujak<\/em>\u2019<\/em>s <\/em>L<\/em>oomshuttles\/Warpaths<\/em> (2012), and Notes on Crisis, Currency and Consumption<\/em> (2015) which was the fisrt of a series of ten essay-exhibitions on issues of contemporary life. She was the Head of Curating Contemporary Art Program, at Royal College of Art, London (2012-2013), Researcher Leader of EU-Project Mela <\/em>\u2013<\/em> E<\/em>uropean Museums in an age of migrations, <\/em>\u0160aloun Professor at Academy of Fine Arts, Prague (2013-2014), and lead Gwangju Biennale International Curator Course (2014). Since 2015, she is responsible for one of the DAI Roaming Academy trajectories. Penelitiannya mencakup bentuk-bentuk pengetahuan kontemporer, estetika Perang Dingin, hubungan antara memori dan filsafat teknologi.<\/p>\n

Hsu, Fang-Tze<\/strong> is an independent researcher and a Ph.D candidate of the Cultural Studies in Asia program of the National University of Singapore. Her research interest include contemporary knowledge formation, Cold War aesthetics, the relationship between memories, and philosophies of technology.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][mk_circle_image src=”http:\/\/arkipel.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/zimu-profile-2.jpg” image_diameter=”200″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]Zimu Zhang<\/strong>. Seorang sutradara independen, periset, dan kurator. Ia meraih gelar Master di bidang\u00a0 penyutradaraan dokumenter di Erasmus Mundus (Docnomads). Karya dan risetnya terkait dengan ketertarikannya pada dialog audiovisual yang tak wujud khususnya sejarah dan masa sekarang. Ia telah menjadi kurator dalam CIFA (China Independent Film Archive) sejak 2015, sebuah organisasi non-pemerintah yang berdedikasi melestarikan dan mendistribusikan sinema Cina independen seiring dengan riset karya kreatif audiovisual di dunia.<\/p>\n

Zimu Zhang<\/strong> is an independent filmmaker, researcher and curator. She holds a joint MA degree in Documentary Directing of Erasmus Mundus (Docnomads). Her own films and research interest are audiovisual dialogues threading intangible history and present. She has been a curator for CIFA (China Independent Film Archive) since 2015, a NGO devoted to preserve and present Chinese Independent Cinema along with research on worldwide creative audiovisual works.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][mk_circle_image src=”http:\/\/arkipel.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Hikmat-Darmawan.jpg” image_diameter=”200″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]Hikmat Darmawan<\/strong>. Kerap menulis di Koran Tempo<\/em>, Majalah Tempo, Gatra, Kompas,<\/em> dan Visual Art<\/em>. Pernah menjadi editor di Majalah Madina, kurator pameran komik untuk Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, dan manajer program di MP Book Point. Terlibat dalam pendirian berbagai organisasi kebudayaan, antara lain Musyawarah Burung, Akademi Samali, dan RumahFilm.org. Saat ini, dia adalah Ketua Komite Film, Dewan Kesenian Jakarta.<\/p>\n

Hikmat Darmawan<\/strong>. Film critic, comic expert, and pop culture enthusiast. His educational background is Communication Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia. He writes often in Koran Tempo, Majalah Tempo, Gatra, Kompas, and Visual Art. He was\u00a0 the editor of Majalah Madina, curator of comic exhibition held by Jakarta Art Council, and program manager at MP Book Point. He was involved in the founding of several cultural organization among others Musyawarah Burung, Akademi Samali, and RumahFilm.org. Akbar Yumni<\/strong>. Film and art critic, cultural activist, member of Forum Lenteng, and Editor in Chief of Jurnal Footage (www.jurnalfootage.net<\/a>). He studies Philosophy at Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Driyarkara, Jakarta. Manshur Zikri<\/strong>. Social researcher, citizen journalism activist, member of Forum Lenteng, and in charge of the AKUMASSA program (www.akumassa.org<\/a>). He was graduated from the Department of Criminology, University of Indonesia. Otty Widasari<\/strong>. Artist, film director, media activist, one of the founders of Forum Lenteng, and Director of Community Based Media Empowerment Program (AKUMASSA) Forum Lenteng. Seorang produser seni, kurator, dan penulis yang tinggal di Kathmandu, Nepal. Lima tahun terakhir ini, Oli adalah sosok penting dalam medan seni kontemporer Nepal. Ia bekerja bersama berbagai kolektif, organisasi, festival, dan seniman. Ia juga adalah pendiri Kala Kosh, sebuah institusi yang bercita-cita mendefinisikan ulang konteks dalam medan seni rupa Nepal, dan juga secara global.<\/p>\n

Nischal Oli<\/strong> is an art producer, curator and writer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. For the past 5 years, Oli has been a fixture of Nepali contemporary arts. He has worked with various collectives, organizations, festivals and artists. Windu W Jusuf<\/strong>. Film critic. He teaches cinema at Bina Nusantara University. He holds a master degree from Gajah Mada University. Albert Rahman Putra<\/strong>. Grass-root activist in Solok, West Sumatera, and graduated from ISI Padangpanjang. He was the founder of Komunitas Gubuak Kopi, a non-profit cultural organization whom works as a researcher and developoing knowledge on art and media locally in Solok. Dimas aktif sebagai pegiat komunitas filem sejak 2001, dan banyak terlibat di berbagai kegiatan seputar komunitas dan festival filem. Dimas juga aktif sebagai direktur program Festival Film Purbalingga.<\/p>\n

Dimas Jayasrana<\/strong>. Film and film community activist. He once found and developed www.filmalternatif.org<\/a>. He was working for Institut Francais d\u2019Indonesi\u00e9, and programmer at CCF Jakarta. He has been active as film community activist since 2001, and involved in several events in related with film community and film festival. Memulai karirnya sebagai pembuat filem dokumenter ketika terpilih sebagai salah satu finalis Eagle Awards tahun 2005. Pada tahun 2009, ia terpilih sebagai salah satu partisipan Doc Station Berlinale Talent Campus<\/em>, sebuah pelatihan bagi para pembuat filem muda yang dihelat di Berlin, Jerman. Salah satu karyanya, The Land Beneath the Fog<\/em>,\u00a0kerap dipresentasikan di festival-festival filem Internasional.<\/p>\n

Shalahuddin Siregar<\/strong> started as a documentary filmmaker when chosen as one of the finalists of Eagle Awards in 2005. In 2009, he was a participant of Doc Station Berlinale Talent Campus, a workshop for young filmmaker held in Berlin, Germany. One of his works, The Land Beneath the Fog was screened in several international film festivals.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][mk_circle_image src=”http:\/\/arkipel.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Sow-Yee-Au.jpg” image_diameter=”200″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]Sow-Yee Au<\/strong>. Lahir di Malaysia dan saat ini tinggal serta bekerja di Taipei. Ia merupakan lulusan Universitas Budaya Tiongkok, jurusan Seni Teater, dan mendapatkan gelar Master di bidang Seni Murni di Universitas Seni San Francisco. Berkutat dalam mempertanyakan relasi antara gambar, membuat gambar, sejarah, politik dan kekuasaan, melalui instalasi video dan medium lainnya. Saat ini, ia sedang fokus mengerjakan penggambaran kembali sejarah Malaysia dan relasinya dengan perspektif serta ideologis pada zaman Perang Dingin.<\/p>\n

Sow-Yee Au<\/strong>. She was born in Malaysia, and now is based in Taipei. Her artistic practice focuses on questioning, exploring, as well as expanding, the relation between images, image-making, history, politics and power, through video installation and other media. She was the co-founder of the Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film and Video Festival, which she co-curated in 2010 and 2011.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][mk_circle_image src=”http:\/\/arkipel.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/MG_5636.jpg” image_diameter=”200″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]Hafiz Rancajale<\/strong>.
