The Contortionist bercerita tentang hubungan ayah-anak yang keduanya kebetulan adalah juru kamera. Sang anak mendokumentasikan hari terakhir ayahnya bekerja.

The Contortionist tells a story of a father and son relationship, whom both coincidentally are cameramen. The son is documenting the last day of his father at work. Is there a trace which connect both men’s expertise historically? The Contortionist is not just about their closeness, but also about the past and the present, two different mediums, an expertise with two different backgrounds where the father has worked for a company and the son is making an independent film, and also about the possibility and probability lies ahead in the future of the younger cameraman. The director of this documentary also concerns on legacy, a cycle of knowledge, of himself, of his father, and of cinema in particular.
