Hantu-hantu yang gentayangan di sini adalah sisa-sisa kekejaman masa lalu.
Dulunya mereka adalah tuan rumah di tanah ini. Kini mereka menjadi tamu asing yang menangisi tanahnya, menyerah, dan akhirnya hanya menghabiskan saat-saat cahaya tenggelam di horison sambil menghisap candu. Pernah mereka berusaha melawan, tetap kalah juga.
Mereka surut ke sudut-sudut tersembunyi. Menjadi penghuni kegelapan, yang bukan hanya tak melihat cahaya terang, tapi juga telah hilang kepercayaannya atas cahaya.
Di dalam terang, bingkai kekuasaan yang kian ahli mengelola cahaya, mencapai kecanggihan hingga ke titik terkaosnya, mengaburkan pesan utama: bahwa kekacauan yang terjadi sekarang ini disebabkan sesuatu yang jauh lebih dahsyat di dalam gelap. Dan gelap adalah tempat di mana sudut-sudut tak mampu dicapai oleh terang dan sekumpulan rahasia mencari jalannya sendiri, menjelma radikal. Kalau terang adalah bingkai kekuasaan, maka dalam gelaplah nyanyian revolusi dikumandangkan.
Dimulai dari kegelapan, mereka beranjak keluar menuju lanskap terang. Mereka menjadi hantu-hantu untuk bisa lepas dari keterpenjaraan. Menjadi tamu asing yang melantunkan puisi kehancuran dan ketidak-abadian dengan cara menggetarkan kembali muslihat ukuran presisi cahaya. Mengelana di lanskap-lanskap terang untuk membunuh genealogi kepengarangan. Dan akhirnya melakukan pembebasan.
The ghosts that haunt here are the remnants of past tyranny.
Once they were the landlord of this land. They become the stranger now, crying over their land, surrender, and eventually spending the moments of twilight in the horizon while smoking opium. They tried to fight and yet keep losing.
They recede into hidden corners, and are becoming inhabitants of darkness, who not only unable to see, but also lost their faith in the lights.
Meanwhile, in brightness, the authority is framed. It is more and more adept controlling the light, reaching its most chaotic point sophisticatedly, obscuring the main message: that mayhem happening now are caused by something monstrous in the dark. And darkness is the place where light cannot reach certain corners. Secrets find their own way, radically transformed. Since the illuminated place is where the authority being framed, it is in the darkness the song of revolution hollers.
From the darkness, they move out into the bright landscape. They become the phantoms for the sake of escape imprisonment. Becoming strangers who recite poetry of destruction and immortality by terrorizing the precise calculation of lights that has been deceptive. Roaming in bright landscapes to kill the genealogy of authorship. And liberating themselves at the end.
