Theo Nugraha akan memeriahkan Malam Penghargaan ARKIPEL bromocorah – 7th Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival.
Theo Nugraha adalah seniman sound asal Samarinda. Dia telah menjadi bagian dari kancah eksperimental Indonesia sejak 2013. Diskografinya hampir mencapai 200 rilis, termasuk karya solo, album split , kolaborasi, remix, dan kompilasi. Dia sekarang belajar eksperimentasi visual di Milisifilem Collective dan juga menjadi editor untuk kolom VJ> Play di Visual Jalanan (www.visualjalanan.org).
Theo Nugraha akan menampilkan karya Plague (Electron Edition).
Karya ini merupakan pengembangan karya pertamanya berjudul Plague dalam keikutsertaannya di 69 Performance Club edisi ke 14 dengan tajuk FRAMED BODY. Tubuh telah lama menjadi instrumen penciptaan bunyi melalui bermacam-macam cara kerjanya. Kemudian, perangkat elektronis hadir dan menawarkan kemudahan eksplorasi akan bunyi. Praktik dan temuannya memberikan peluang eksperimentasi lebih dengan memanfaatkan cara kerja elektronis. Dalam karya ini, selain mengeksplorasi tubuh dalam penciptaan bunyi yang menghasilkan bercak merah sebagai bentuk visualisasi bunyi, Theo juga bermain–main dengan kemungkinan cara kerja tubuh memproduksi bunyi melalui arus perangkat elektronis. Tubuh, sebagai instrumen bunyi utama, bertransformasi melalui kerja elekronis yang bersifat sesaat.

Theo Nugraha is a sound artist from Samarinda. He has been part of the Indonesian experimental scene since 2013. His discography is almost 200 releases, including solo works, split albums, collaborations, remixes, and compilations. He is now studying experimental visual in Milisifilem Collective and also being the editor for VJ> Play column at Visual Jalanan (www.visualjalanan.org ).

This work is the development of his first work titled Plague in his participation in 69 Performance Club 14th edition titled FRAMED BODY. The body has long been an instrument of sound creation through its various mechanism. Then, electronic device exists and offers an easy exploration of sound. Its practices and findings provide more experimentation opportunities by utilizing the electronic mechanism. In this work, aside from exploring the body in the creation of sounds that produce red spots as a form of sound visualization, Theo will also play with the possibility of the body’s mechanism in producing sound through the flow of electronic devices. The body, as the main sound instrument, is transformed through momentary electronic mechanism.
