In organizing the Festival Forum 2016, ARKIPEL social/capital – 4th Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival invites Ruth Noack as the Keynote Speaker. She will present her paper on the opening day of the forum, entitled Once Again – Agency in Cinema.
“It is not enough to make good films. It is not enough to write about good films. It is not enough to mediate good films. Since the inception of the idea that there might be: a radical artistic practice, a critical reflexion of moving images and an emancipated spectatorship, people have formulated more than once – and forgotten more than once – how to achieve agency in these activities.
