Mengikuti proses pemilihan aktor yang dilakukan Samira Makhmalbaf untuk keperluan filem At Five in The Afternoon, kamera Hanna menjadi saksi atas aksi sinema dalam mengkonstruk ingatan massal dalam kepentingan negoisasi terhadap narasi dan imaji produk Taliban atas perempuan.

A documentary film that clips through camera the trauma of Afghan society after the Taliban dictatorship. It followed the process of casting by Samira Makhmalbaf for her film At Five in The Afternoon. Hanna’s camera witnessed how cinema construct the collective memory in the interest of negotiation toward narrative and product image of Taliban on women.

Lahir September, 1988. Merupakan sutradara berkebangsaan Iran dan putri dari Mohsen Makhmalbaf. Filem pendek pertamanya dibuat pada saat umurnya baru 8 tahun dan ditayangkan di Festival Filem Locarno. Saat membuat The Joy of Madness, umurnya baru 14 tahun yang menyebabkan dirinya hampir dilarang untuk hadir di Venice Film Festival.

(Born September, 1988) is an Iranian director and a daughter of Mohsen Makhmalbaf. Her first short film was made at the time he was 8 years old and premiered at Locarno Film Festival. When creating The Joy of Madness, he was only 14 years old which led to her nearly forbidden to being at the Venice Film Festival.
