In reflecting on what was done in Indonesian film communities, ranging from film production to distribution of knowledge, we can see how the role of the community became important in the expansion of cinema language. Based on Indonesian development of cinema nowadays, the community can become the motor of cinema circulation, where its role is not merely for film production and screenings, but the community can continue to fill the vacancy of said circulation. In the specific socio-political context, community could also play a role in translating or even narrating the issues through its community aesthetics. Moreover, the involvement of public will have a contribution in developing their own cinema language, although we may re-identify whether this cinema community serves as group, public, or marginal languages.
